Moss balls

Post by silverrabbit on Fri Jul 16, 2010 4:39 pm

My ebay moss balls x9 just arrived. Very cheap compared to the £3.50 each in shops! (these were £9 something)

I know they're low maintenance, but does anyone know how quickly they grow? Does it depend on nitrAtes?

Also, does anyone know if they can tolerate slightly brackish water? Set up a tank for my feeder river shrimp, but want somewhere for them to "play" and hide.

Mine grew fairly quick when i first got them but havent grown much recently. Not sure about brackish water but you could rip the bottom of of one of them and try it in the other brackish tank to see what happens.
