Stocking Suggestions For A 35L Tank?

Post by Nath J on Thu Jul 15, 2010 6:40 pm

Hi Guys Smile Haven't Been On In While And During That Time I've Lost All Of My Male Betta's Sad I Still Have Many Females In My Community Though Which Is Something Smile. However Now I Have My 35L Tank Spare And Have Decided Not To Stock It With Male Betta's Anymore And Go For Something A Bit Different. I Was Thinking Like A Pair Of Something But Im Not Sure What?... I Have A Feeling Apisto's Need More Space And I Dont Want Tetra's As I Have Them In The Community. So Im Just Asking If Anyone Knows Of A Pair Of Fish That I Keep In The Space I Have?
Thanks

To small for apisto iMO. I would go from a minni community set up with
8 pygmy corys
8 galaxy rasbora
1 sparkling gourami or honey gourami.

Or you could have a pair of wild bettas and some shrimp.

I Like The Idea Of The Galaxies And The Pygmy's But Round Here I Have Struggled To Get Hold Hold Of Galaxies.. As I Have Tried Several Times Before To Get Them.. I Was Thinking..
8 Suitable Shoaling Fish (Idea's Please)
8 Pygmy Cory's
And Something Else.. I Think A BN Plec Would Be To Much? And Dont Fancy Just Having One Gourami On Its Own?

Oh And Possibly Some Shrimp As Well Smile

Ember tetras would work but if you cant get galaxys you might struggle to get these. harlequin rasbora could work. Gourami will go fine on there own or if yo still dont want to you could drop the shoaling fish and have a pair of honey gourami or 3-4 sparkling gourami. The tanks to small for BN IMO. If you want a small slightly different cat what about Anchor Catfish/Asian Stone Catfish (Hara jerdoni)
