when will a betta start eating regularly after a shipment?

I just Got two bettas from betta pradise a platinum female and a black male they are siblings. I am wondering when they will start to eat like little pigs. (for conditioning) also will the female get stripes?

It can take a while for them to settle in. These two were both on full sized pellets but you could try crushing them a little to start with or try them with some live or frozen bloodworm. It's best to leave them quite for a few days and start conditioning in a couple of weeks time once they have settled in properly and are eating well.

Will the female get bars?

The vertical bars can only really be seen on darker females. As she's pale you wont be able to see them. Once you've conditioned for a couple of weeks and she goes into the chimney she should get nice and big with eggs. After a couple of days in the chimney she should be ready to be released into the tank with the male.
